Welcome to the latest ‘crop’ of work, November 2020 - February 2021
Mainly focused on developing my Street style of approach, within the Landscape and less frequently, the Street.
October 2020
Shooting in Brighton and Hove, concentrating on building my Projects and Portfolio, evolved into a productive month, as I am beginning to familiarise myself with the local.
Projects such as ‘WAIT’ have reached their conclusion.
‘OUTSIDE IN’ working title for a current project, has been running for about a year, including Worcester and now Brighton.
‘COAST’ is a Project I have always longed to get my teeth into ,as it were !
At the same time , I have been filming material in SLO MO, using my i phone at 4k resolution.
The idea here is to perhaps edit into a short film, however the idea of Installations showing the clips as Still, slow, moving image appeals.
Here is a glimpse of work produced. Please do let me know what you think.
Many thanks,
Jon
The time has been well spent, accruing a number of which I would deem to be, strong images and series of Fine Art Documentary Images.
Splitting my time shooting Street and Landscape, we have been blessed with incredible weather.
As of August 2020 I am based on the South Coast of the UK, producing images for my print site and continuing ongoing projects.
Now that’s a date…
without further ado…. last shoot of 2019 …
Southsea
The last couple of weeks have been productive. Mainly shooting long lens on the street other than the 40mm I have used for the last month.
The results have been quite astonishing with a long lens, in that I started shooting film with such lens.
Inspired last year by a portrait made just around the corner from where I live.
The Lady camping out in the kerb, near to her house, waiting for a skip to arrive.
Having drawn a conclusion to my earlier Street project, PHONE, a new challenge appeared.
I became interested in the “State of Flux’ that exists within our daily lives, when we are made to stop maybe our journey or even to receive something. Thus causing us to be locked into a situation where, for the most part, we are then enabled to continue.
One image that struck me during the process I began, earlier this year, was of a young woman, while waiting to cross the street on the way to work, closed her eyes momentarily to feel the early morning sun on her face. Almost a moment in meditation, yet within a normal daily routine.
Look out for latest work and Projects showcasing on here.
The RED Gallery will be accompanied by BLUE and GREEN.
